Terms of service
Effective 27 October 2026
These terms cover how you can use Dhvni, what we promise in return, and how fees, refunds and cloned voices work. We have tried to keep them short and plain.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Dhvni AI (“Dhvni”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the Dhvni APIs, dashboard and website (the “Service”). By creating an account, using an API key or paying for the Service, you accept them. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it, and “you” means that company.
The Service is for businesses and developers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. Your account and API keys
Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your API keys secret and use them only from your own servers, or through the short lived browser tokens the API provides. You are responsible for every request made with your keys.
If a key leaks, tell us at support@dhvni.in straight away. We will revoke it and issue a new one. Usage before you tell us is still billed.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service, or any audio it produces, to:
- Impersonate a real person, or mislead listeners about who is speaking.
- Commit or assist fraud, including fake calls from banks, government offices, delivery services or family members, or attempts to collect OTPs, passwords or payments under false pretences.
- Create audio of a real person, including a public figure or election candidate, saying something they did not say, without their written permission.
- Harass, threaten, defame or sexually exploit anyone, or produce content involving children in any harmful way.
- Break any law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules on synthetically generated content, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and consumer protection and telecom marketing rules.
- Get around rate limits, consent checks or other safeguards, or probe, scrape or reverse engineer the Service or its models.
- Resell raw access to the API without a written agreement with us.
Where the law requires it, and in any outbound call or message to people who have not chosen to talk to an AI, tell listeners that they are hearing a synthetic voice.
4. Cloned voices and consent
You may ask us to clone a voice only if the person it belongs to has given clear, informed and freely given consent for the use you intend. Before a voice goes live, the speaker either reads a consent phrase with random code words in their own voice, which we verify, or you give us a signed release that we record against the voice.
- You confirm that every recording and release you send us is genuine and that you have the right to share it.
- Use a voice only within the scope the speaker agreed to. If they withdraw consent, stop using it and delete it.
- We may refuse to create a voice, or disable one, if we cannot verify consent or we receive a credible complaint.
- If the person whose voice it is asks us to remove it, we will disable the voice and tell you.
5. Your content and the audio we produce
You keep all rights in the text, audio and recordings you send (“Inputs”). Subject to these terms and to the speaker's consent, the speech audio and transcripts the Service returns (“Outputs”) belong to you.
You give us a limited licence to process Inputs and Outputs only to provide, secure and support the Service for you. We do not use your Inputs, Outputs or voices to train models for anyone else. How we handle personal data in them is set out in our privacy policy.
The Service, its software and models, and the Dhvni name and logo remain ours. These terms give you no rights in them beyond using the Service.
6. Fees, credits and payment
- Our current rates are on the pricing page. All prices are in Indian rupees and exclude GST, which is added to every invoice.
- The Service runs on prepaid credits. One credit is one rupee. Usage is taken from your balance at your plan's rates.
- Monthly plan fees are charged in advance at the start of each billing month and added to your balance in full as credits.
- Credits do not expire while your account is open.
- Training a cloned voice costs a one time ₹5,999 per voice, paid before training starts.
- We may change our rates with at least 30 days' notice by email. Credits you already hold are used at the rates in force when the usage happens.
- If your balance runs out, requests may be refused until you add credits.
7. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. It stops renewing at the end of the current billing month, and you keep the credits already added.
- Plan fees and purchased credits are not refundable, except where the law requires it.
- Voice cloning fee: if we cannot verify the speaker's consent, or cannot build a usable voice from your recordings, we refund the ₹5,999 fee in full. Once a voice has gone live, the fee is not refundable.
- If we close your account without cause, we refund any unused credits.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 working days of approval.
To cancel or ask for a refund, write to support@dhvni.in.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and fast, and tell you ahead of planned maintenance. Unless you have a signed Enterprise agreement with a service level, the Service is provided without a guaranteed uptime. We may improve or change the API. For changes that would break working integrations, we give at least 30 days' notice by email.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, with notice where we reasonably can, if you break these terms, do not pay, create risk for other customers or the public, or if the law requires it.
When an account closes, we delete its voices and reference recordings as described in our privacy policy, and your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as fees owed, liability and governing law, survive.
10. Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's non public business and technical information confidential, and use it only for the purpose of this agreement, except where the law requires disclosure.
11. Disclaimers
Speech synthesis and recognition are statistical. Transcripts can contain mistakes and generated speech can mispronounce words. Check Outputs before relying on them where accuracy matters, for example in medical, legal or financial settings. Apart from what these terms expressly promise, the Service is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You will defend and compensate us for claims, losses and costs arising from your Inputs, from voices created without the speaker's valid consent, or from your use of Outputs in breach of these terms or the law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking to each other. If that fails within 30 days, the courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We post the new version here with a new effective date and email account holders at least 30 days before changes that matter take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
16. Contact and grievances
Questions about these terms, abuse reports and grievances go to our Grievance Officer at support@dhvni.in. We acknowledge every grievance and resolve it within 30 days. Our website is dhvni.in.
